many great photos. Thanks to our sponsor, FujiFilm, the winner receives 20
rolls of the Fuji professional film of their choice. The runners-up
receive 10 rolls of the Fuji professional film of their choice.
Winners are notified by email.
Winner: Flying side kick Chi-Keung Lee
The story behind this image is that it was taken in our annual taekwondo
tournament in Brisbane, Australia, in April this year. This practitioner
is competing in the flying side kick competition, where the aim is to jump
the longest distance over the two sets of hurdles and break the board. It
was about dusk and I used the old flash & pan technique. To capture
this image Chi-Keung used a Pentax Spotmatic and a Panagor 28mm f2.8 lens
and Kodak Supra 800 film. The negative was scanned using a Kodak RS3600
scanner.
Running back, David Vaeth
David captured this image during a local high school playoff game in
Jackson Missouri using his Fuji S1 digital SLR and a Nikkor 300mm f2.8
lens. The final image was cropped using Adobe Business Photo.
Rugby match, Timothy J Wesolek
Tim tells us that the local rugby club was having a series of games at the
park on a Saturday afternoon. My family and I went to the game to see our
State Senator play. Since this was a club event I was able to walk any
place I wanted to get my shots. Tim was using a Nikon D1 and Nikkor 80-200
f2.8 lens. This shot was captured at 80mm and 1/200th of a second onto a
128MB Scandisk card.
